This page details the April Fools' Day activities of this wiki.
Rules for fools
- Do not edit the actual versions of pages for April Fools. This is still considered vandalism. Instead, edit the version of the page that is a subpage of this page. If you're unsure if there is one: check if there's an indicator on the top right of the page.
- No pranks that violate the wiki rules. Violating rules for a joke is still a rule violation. The only exception is rule 4, but only for subpages of this page; no other pages may violate this rule, even as a joke. Additionally, all content is still licensed under the GPLv3, so keep that in mind.
Additional rules may be added specifically for April Fools if it is deemed necessary.
Creating an April Fools page
To create an April Fools version of a page, create a subpage of this page with the full path of the original page, then add {{PenguinFools notice}} to the top inside of a <noinclude> tag. Then, if you have edit access, edit the original page to add {{Wiki April Fools}} to the top of it; if you do not have edit access, request it be added on the articles talk page, or its comments if it has them.
As an example, PenguinMod Wiki:PenguinFools/Main Page is the PenguinFools version of the main page.
Pages not allowed for fools
Do not create April Fools versions of pages under the Help, PenguinMod Wiki, Module, and Template namespaces. While user pages are allowed to have April Fools versions, please ask said user before doing so.
