Fonts

The default fonts in a new project.

The editor adds new fonts for both editors. These new fonts are able to be used outside of the image editor too, able to be used in the code editor.

Custom Fonts

Custom fonts can be used in both the bitmap and vector editors. It used to warn you to use only fonts you have the license to use, but that was removed. When you upload a font file, it is added to the project, even able to be used in extensions such as Animated Text. Even after exiting the project, the fonts stay.

Custom fonts can be used in both the vector editor and the bitmap editor.
(Removed) Warning you get sent before uploading a custom font.

Trivia

  • The Branches font, formerly named the "Scratch" font is technically not a new font, as it is available in Scratch 2.0 as a dropdown option and still exists in 3.0, but was hidden in 3.0.[1][2]
